T-Bone Steak

Weight
€13.60 each

A well-marbled cut consisting of of two lean, delicious, tender steaks - the melt in the mouth tenderloin fillet and beefy striploin - connected by a telltale T-shaped bone.

Our T-Bone Steak is sourced from Bord Bia approved local Irish farms and is 100% grass-fed which ensures it is high in Omega 3 and full of vitamins.

The T-Bone Steak combines the softness of the tenderloin fillet, that melts in the mouth, with the beefy taste of the Striploin. The steak bone adds extra flavour and aroma making the T-Bone a true favourite.

Preheat your pan until it sizzles when you add a drop of oil. Season the meat just prior to cooking. Cook over high heat turning the steak only once after a rich, golden crust has formed, reduce heat to medium when crust has formed. Cook 5 to 6 minutes each side for a medium rare T-Bone Steak.

Sear on the grill, leave to rest, cut up against the fibres and serve with a flavour-enhancing coating of garlic-scented butter.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah

A T-Bone is a single cut that incorporates a piece of the Short Loin primal (strip steak) and a piece of the front section of the tenderloin (filet), connected by a t-shaped lumbar bone. The strip section is bold tasting and leaner while the filet is more tender.
